Cantina Dos Gallos – Tacos al Pastor, is the first Mexican canteen located in the city of Barranquilla. Its specialty, Tacos al Pastor, are the translation of the mysticism and timelessness of the flavors of the Rivera Maya.

Today, Cantina Dos Gallos gives us the opportunity to be your allies for the creation of your brand and logo.

The challenge

In our meetings and exchange of ideas, its creator Iván Escobar tells us that he wants an emblem that represents the mysticism of the Riviera Maya and the duality of the Two Roosters with the universal balance between the opposite poles, good and evil, white and black, male and female.

The strategy

Gold

We exalt the use of gold and other metals and precious stones, for their representation and meaning for the Mayan, Aztec and our pre-Columbian cultures, these elements were always part of the daily tasks.

In our construction process, we wanted to return to what gold meant to our ancestors: art, ornamentation, and offering.

Fire

Fire becomes an essential element when building the creative concept. Always present throughout the process, the mysticism and texture of the fourth element will be reflected in the shapes used in the creation of the brand.

For the restaurant’s kitchen, the charcoal and the grill are part of the great differential in flavor for its offer and the fire that materializes the essence of Cantina Dos Gallos.

Working at Cantina Dos Gallos was a pleasure from the beginning since its creation. Within just a few minutes of our first meeting, I was able to connect with Wen Muñoz and that resulted in one of the best logos I’ve had in my career. Wen was able to perfectly capture the image and concept of the Restaurant in the logo and I will always be grateful to her for that.
